Kundalini is a divine energy that resides in the Mooladhara, the base spot. This is the seat of kundalini where by she sleeps. When a sadhaka engages into kriyas, this power is aroused by the force of practices and will power and start its journey upwards. In this journey she goes through 6 centers while activating each of these spots.

Mooladhara chakra : Mooladhar is the base of all manifestation of body & mind. Located in the prenieum it is the center of all the raw energy that manifests in the form the life. This is the said to be the first center of human evolution. Its connected with the element earth and related to all that is basic to sustain life. Kundalini energy lies dormant here in a static form until awakened, rising up higher on the upward route.

Swadhishthan chakra : This chakra is above the mooladhara and is the center of sexual energy. This is from where all the drives to procreate and continue the existence comes from. Swadhisthana is also connected with the sexual desires. Once this chakra is balanced, a person experiences much smoothness and regulation in sexual life and desires.

Manipura chakra : Also called the power center of an individual. Manipura chakra is the center of strength, power, courage, vigour, and vitality. Situated behind the navel in the spinal cord, Concentration on Manipur removes fear of fire and gives freedom from disease. Manipur influences the digestive process and the assimilation of food and prana. It is also connected to the eyes and sight.

Anahata chakra : this center is situated in the heart space. It is concerned with all the emotions and feelings in an individual. This center creates the sense of belonging and connecting, acceptance and relationships. Expression of love and compassions is also a quality of Anahat chakra. Awakening of anahat gives pure qualities, cosmic love and various psychic powers

Vishuddhi chakra : Vishuddhi is the chakra in the neck region behind the throat pit. This chakra is related with the creative abilities of an individual as well as purity of body and mind. Activation of Vishuddhi bestows a person with sweet voice, impressive speech & deep knowledge It arouses acceptance of the adversities of life, mental balance and sensitivity to the needs of others

Agya chakra : Agya chakra is the command center. Situated in the mid brain behind the eye brow center, this chakra is the third eye which can enable a person of subtle visions and experiences. It brings discipline in life and represents the balance of pranic forces. Once activated, it can provide deep insights into the subtle aspects of existence and universe. This is also represented in the third eye of lord Shiva, the adiyogi.

Sahasrar chakra : Sahasrar means thousand petals. This center represents the true Consciousness. It is the seat of Pure Self where kundlaini finally comes and get united. Sahasrar represents the deep states of Samadhi and trance where the self is revealed to the person and freedom absolute. It can be awakedned under the guidance of a Guru or enlightened master.
